In a Lenten Reflection on the Question:
How do we as people of faith situate ourselves in the midst of, and respond to,
this historical moment marked by disorder, confusion and violence?
Guest Speaker
Laurie Cassidy, PhD
Theologian and Spiritual Director
Drawing on the work of St John of the Cross’ Dark Night of the Soul, our facilitator, Laurie Cassidy, will invite us to discover our deepest selves and the Divine. It is from there, and with the support of one another, that we will discover a path forward that can lead to a way of “being” as an antidote to the ills of our times. This is nothing less than personal, communal and global transformation.
Laurie Cassidy, Ph.D. is a theologian and spiritual director and currently participates in the Spirituality Program at Creighton University. More An award-winning author and editor, whose 2021 anthology Desire, Darkness and Hope prompted this invitation, she has provided spiritual direction, retreats, and workshops across the United States for the past 30 years.
This presentation is partially funded through the DIVINE COMPASSION SPEAKERS SERIES.
There is no charge for this Lenten retreat, however a good will offering of any amount is welcome by clicking on the Donate button at the top of this webpage.
