Dear Friends,
We are both humbled and grateful for your extraordinary support of our Christmas Appeal again this year! Thanks to your incredible generosity, over $100,000 was donated to our Sisters and our mission of compassion!
In addition to helping our Sisters live in mission where they live, work or volunteer, in the true spirit of community and collaboration, your gift helps the Divine Compassion Community assist those in need toward self-sufficiency, meaning and wholeness in their lives.
This year, we will donate $12,000 to help the Little Sisters of St. Therese in Haiti strive to live with faith, courage and confidence to compassionately serve the poorest of the poor, who continue to struggle from the devastation of hurricanes, earthquakes, COVID, political unrest and so much more.
Because homelessness is on the rise and a significant concern to our neighbors, this year we will also donate $8,000 to Lifting Up Westchester. A large portion of this donation will support the organization's Community Kitchen where people can spend the day if they have nowhere else to go. The Community Kitchen offers meals and snacks throughout the day, and provides socialization, health and wellness programs and other resources for people who may not otherwise have access to these services.
We are so blessed to have partners in mission like you! Your generosity helps us to remain a responsive, collaborative, mission-focused Community.
God bless you always,
Sr. Laura Donovan, RDC
President, Sisters of the Divine Compassion
