For What Do We Hunger and Thirst?
For what do we hunger and thirst as a Divine Compassion community committed to living out the mission of Jesus in the world of 2015?
With hearts wide open to the Bread of Life, the world and all people of faith hunger and thirst for healing and compassion, for justice and peace for all…
We live out the Divine Compassion mission in our daily lives as disciples of Jesus in our local and our world communities, as part of the unfolding universe story of life.
In Sunday’s scripture the disciples asked Jesus, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” Jesus answered: “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent…
I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty”.
Let us take time to be with God in contemplative prayer these summer days - filled with gratitude to God for the mystery of life unfolding in our hearts and in our midst and in the world of today. Let us also take time to pray with and for each other, that our hearts will be open to all the gifts God is offering us as a Divine Compassion Community of faith each and every day!
