We received an email recently from Ellen Baker, a long-standing and incredibly faithful RDC Associate who is living in Dublin with her husband, James.

"Just read about the fence on the RDC website….and it answered my prayers and wishes.  For several years now I have had a small ‘cottage’ business making mostly baby sweaters but scarves and now hats as well.  I sold them in NY through a consignment shop but since we moved here I just make them for gifts.  This leaves me with a lot of leftover yarn which takes up much space in a space-challenged apartment but you have given me the solution!  So I am determined to whip up hats (mostly) with the leftovers and maybe a scarf or two if I have enough yarn of one color."

Ellen came through!!! Her "leftover" yarn turned into glorious hats and scarves for our neighbors. Needless to say the items disappeared the very day they were placed on the fence. Ellen has a website which displayed her beautiful creations -- stop by and tell her, "Lori sent me!" http://http://www.notjustabeekeeper.com/

We are contemplating what we can offer for the spring and summer months. Any thoughts contact us at ldegiorgio@divinecompassion.org.
