The Divine Compassion Community rejoices in the establishment of Juneteenth as a National Holiday, commemorating the end of legal slavery in the United States. We are grateful to our Black sisters and brothers, our students present and past, our colleagues in ministry, and especially for the Nurses Aides who give devoted care to our infirm Sisters.

We continue to pray and seek ways to act for complete equality and justice for all in our nation and for the reconciliation needed to end the racial unrest we now face.
