The RDC Center for Counseling & Human Development will host Adolescence – an interactive discussion on adolescent development and its impact on teens’ physical, social and emotional lives. Presented by Andree Palmgren, LPC, the program will be held at the RDC Center Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the RDC Center, located at 52 North Broadway in White Plains, NY.
This informative program is designed to help parents, educators and counselors feel better informed and re-energized about parenting with a tool kit of strategies and language that will help parents with confidence.
An elementary and middle school teacher who received her master’s degree in counseling from Columbia University, Andree Palmgren, LPC, has worked with children, adolescents and adults around a broad range of mental health issues. Presently, she has a private practice in Westport, Ct., and works individually with adolescents and parents. She especially enjoys sharing strategies for more effective and enjoyable parenting.
Ms. Palmgren will cover topics including:
• Adolescent brain development and changes affecting the teen brain
• Significance of the peer group
• Social media literacy and online wellness
